HALFEN brickwork support systems: Provides the security and perfection required for modern installation of brickwork façades.

Brickwork façades are attractive and economical. To ensure that such a façade remains durable over the long term, the dead load of the outer skin of brick must be transferred to the building structure.

HALFEN Fleming Anchor

HFA Fleming Anchor.jpg
The HALFEN HFA Fleming Anchor System is used to restrain exterior masonry facades that are subjected to both wind and seismic loads.

The system consists of the Fleming Anchor Channel, which is secured to the substrate; and the Fleming Anchor, one end of which is inserted into the channel. The other end of the Fleming Anchor is bonded into the facade's horizontal mortar bed which is also reinforced with wire. Once installed the system components efficiently transfer both positive and negative facade loads to the substrate.

  • Fleming Anchors are T-shaped and are stamped from 14 gage (1.9mm) galvanized steel strip, complete with a central stiffening rib and two tabs.
  • The Fleming Anchor System is suitable for restraining masonry veneer up to 3- 5/8” (92mm) thick with a density of up to 120 lbs./cu. Ft. (1922 kg/cu m).
  • The ultimate tension load per anchor is 290 lbs (1.31 kN)
  • Fleming Anchors can be inserted at any position in the Fleming Anchor Channel allowing accurate positioning to the mortar bed.
