Why use Halfen products for connections to concrete?

1.
Easier to design

Abundant selection of products.

Clearly presented load data.

High load capacities with close edge distances.

Provide adjustability and accommodate construction tolerances.

Technical and detailing assistance readily available.
2.
Perform more consistently

Off-the-shelf, pre-engineered systems.

Extensively tested.

Less susceptible to unskilled installation (poor welds or improperly installed drilled bolts mean

significant reductions in anticipated load capabilities
3.
Safer to use

No welding required for installation (welding sparks and fumes can be a safety hazard).
No touch-up painting required.
No power tools needed for installation (high noise levels, dust, vibration, electrical equipment,
high speed cutting and grinding machines can all be safety hazards on the jobsite).
No protection hazards (cast-in bolts projecting above the concrete surface are
a tripping hazard and may injure personnel by falling on them).
4.
Easier to install
Halfen anchor channels are simply nailed to formwork prior to pouring the
concrete.  After the formwork is stripped, remove the foam filler from the
channel and install the Halfen fasteners.
Drilling for expansion bolts is time-consuming with potential hazards of hitting reinforcement,
damaging expensive drill bits or cracking concrete.
Cast-in bolts and ferrules are difficult to position accurately, and provide limited adjustability.
5.
Easier to use
Halfen anchor channels provide adjustment.
Repositioning a welded connection is difficult and expensive.
Moving the position of a drilled bolt requires redrilling, with possible reduction in load capacity.
6.
Cost Competive
